Tracy Tse

Tracy Tse is a singer-songwriter who is deeply influenced by Britpop, R&B, indie folk and dream pop. Her demos feature simple, soothing yet iconic melodies with acoustic guitar tunes and soft vocals, reflecting her inner thoughts via introspective lyrics.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Tracy has been playing piano since childhood. More than a decade ago, she taught herself to play guitar and covered songs for fun. In 2014, she formed a five-piece indie rock band Who’s King with her friends, playing as the vocalist and the keyboardist.

Tracy gained stage experience performing with her band at local live music venues like The Wanch and Fringe Club. During the pandemic in 2021, she started a side project with her bandmates and performed under the alias “Para//el” in an online-streaming concert session “swinging by” (presented by soundpocket & curated by the scholar and musician Ahkok Wong).

With her band on hiatus, Tracy decides to restart her solo music project with the encouragement and support from her guitar mentor Fengyi, an independent musician active in Hong Kong and Taiwan, aka the mastermind of the emerging Hong Kong indie band, Wantamnam.

Her debut single “Heart” was digitally released on September 9, 2024.
